Sacred Arias (Italian: Arie Sacre), is the sixth studio album by Andrea Bocelli.
Tenor Vocals – Andrea Bocelli; Notes Exclusively licenced to the Philips Music Group, a PolyGram company. Recorded at Teatro Comunale Florence, 7/1997. Barcode and Other Identifiers Barcode: 0 2 3. Andrea Bocelli: Aria - The Opera Album. Find Andrea Bocelli discography, albums and singles on AllMusic. Crossover sensation Andrea Bocelli's Aria served as the singer's operatic calling card, and as such it left behind the synth-infused ballads and lighter Italian fare of his earlier work and delved into the dramatic warhorses of the tenor repertory. Soliciting the help of Gianandrea Noseda and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra underscored the singer's desire to be taken seriously, since.
Released in 1999, the album, featuring music composed in traditional Christian styles, is not only Bocelli's most commercially successful classical album to date with over 5 million copies sold,[1] but also the biggest selling classical album by any solo artist in history.[1][2]
